PURPOSE: To consider an appointment to the Extraterrit orial Jurisdiction seat an the Carrbom
Book of Adjustment.
BACKGROUND: There are wed seats on the Carrhoro Book of Adjustment that may be
appointed by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners: the ETJ (Extratembarial
Jurisdiction) and the Transition Area The ETJ seat is vacant.
Dr. James R. Dingfelder has applied to serve as the ETJ representative on the Camped Board
of Adjustment. The Town of Confirm has recommended him by Resolution to fill this position.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider appointing Dr. James R. Dingfelderas the ETJ
representative on life Carrboro Board of Adjustment to a first full term to expire February 28.
2005.
