Margaret Lane, Suite 201 Hillsborough, NC 27278 Subject: Change Order Lake Orange Auxiliary Spillway Concrete Repairs Mr. Sandt, As you are aware, and as discussed, the depth of the repairs is far exceeding the anticipated repair depths as referenced on the original contract (Exhibit A) documents – <1” thick and >1” thick. As we have ‘chipped’ most of the identified areas, none are less than 1” thick and most of the areas are greater than 5” thick, and up to 8” thick. In addition, several significant voids behind the existing walls have been identified that need to be filled. The attached Bid Form (Exhibit B) has been adjusted to incorporate the increased thickness repairs and we will fill the identified voids with a pressure injected cementitious grout once the bottoms of the concrete walls have been repaired. ‘Line Item 32’ has been added to account for the additional Chipping/Material Thickness/Grouting/Void Filling. The walls will be cored in various spots to pressure inject the grout. Once the void is full, the cores will be filled and repaired. ALL Joints will be repaired at contract price. The ‘red crossed-out’ areas have been removed from the contract to account for the additional work as well. Please review the above at your convenience and call with any questions you may have.
