BACKGROUND: The Health Department utilizes Me services of a pediatric Dental Resident one day per week to attend the services of the departrnent beyond what the individual dental attendings can provide. The pediatric dental residents allow the department to treat younger children and those with more complicated dental problems. This agreement remains at the same level as previous years at a total cost of$2,400 per year to the County. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The annual cost of the ageemem is$2,400 per year for one day per week for 48 weeks. This amount has been included in the deparment a budget request for Fiscal Year 2002-2003. There is no change in this amount RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommands that the Board approve the agreement subject to the approval of the 2002-2003 budget and authorize the Chair to sign.
