PURPOSE: To um aideran appointment to an Extraterritorial Jurisdiction seat onto Carmoro
Planning Board.
BACKGROUND: There are three seats on the Canbom Planning Board that may be appointed
by the Orange County Board of Commissioners: two ETJ seats and a Transition Area (TA)seat.
One of the ETJ dears Is vacant and the TA seat is vacant-
Mr. Frank R. Hammill has applied to serve as an ETJ representative on the Canbom Planning
Board. He recently completed a term as the Orange County ETJ representative on the Canbom
Board of Adjustment.
The Town of Carrboro has recommended him by Resolution to fill the ETJ seat on the Canbom
Planning Board.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None
RECOMMENDATION(5): Consider appointing Mr. Frank R. Hammill as an ETJ representative
on the Carrboro Planning Board for a term to expire February 28, 2004.
