PURPOSE: To consider an appointment to the Extraterritorial Jurisdiction seat on the Carrbom
Board of Adjustment.
BACKGROUND: There are two seats on the Caribom Board of Adjustment that may be
appointed by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners: the ETJ (Extraterritorial
Jurisdiction)and the Transition Area.The ETJ seat is vacant.
Dr. James R. Dingfelder has applied to serve as the ETJ representative on the Caobcm BOOM
of Adjustment The Town of Canbom has recommended him by Resolution to fill this position.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider appointing Dr. James R. Oingfelder as the ETJ
representative on the Carrbom Board of Adjustment to a first full term to expire February 28,
2005.
