PURPOSE: To make appointments to the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Committee.
BACKGROUND: On ApdIY6,2002, the Boats of County Commissioners approved the
composition of the CPLUC, adding one more Planning Board member and positions for
alternate members from each of the five designated advisory boards. The appointments need to
be made so met the Committee may begin its work.
The composition of the CPLUC will be two members from both me Board of County
Commissioners and the Orange County Planning Board, as well as one member from each
of the following advisory bodies: Economic Development Commission (EDC); Board of
Health (BOH);Agricultural Preservation Board (APB); Commission For the Environment (CFE);
and the Water Resources Committee (WRC); plus alternate members (optional); plus staff.
An interest list of those who have volunteered from the above list of Boards and Commissions is
attached for your consideration of approval.A list of stuff support Is also included.Also,
attached are the names of all of the members of the designated boardshcommissions, as
requested.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider appointing the people listed on the interest list and staff
support and two County Commissioners to the CPLUC
