PURPOSE: To consider four changes in the County Commissioners' regular meeting calendar
far the year 2004,
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
the Regular Meeting Schedule.
The Board of County Commissioners will consider:
• changing the location of the Joint Meeting with the Town of Hillsborough, at the request
of the Town of Hillsborough, scheduled for Monday, March 22, 2004 at 7:30 pm from the
Government Services Center to the Town Barn, 101 East Orange Street, Hillsborough,
North Carolina; and
• changing the location of the Thursday, March 18, 2004 BOCC Work Session, starting at
7:30 pm. from the Government Services Center to the Southern Human Services
Center, 2501 Homestead Road, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina; and
• adding the location for the Legislative Breakfast, which will be held on Monday, March
29, 2004 at 8:00 am at The James Pharmacy, 111 North Churton Street, Hillsborough,
North Carolina
changing the location of the June 21, 2004 budget work session from the Southern
Human Services Center, in Chapel Hill to the Government Services Center, 200 South
Cameron Street, Hillsborough, North Carolina.

RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend their regular
2004 meeting calendar by
• changing the location of the Joint Meeting with the Town of Hillsborough, at the request
of the Tawn of Hillsborough, scheduled for Monday, March 22, 2004 at 7:30 pm from the
Government Services Center to the Town Barn, 101 East Orange Street, Hillsborough,
North Carolina; and
• changing the location of the Thursday, March 18, 2004 BOCC Work Session, starting at
7:30 pm, from the Government Services Center to the Southern Human Services
Center, 2501 Homestead Road, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina; and
adding the location for the Legislative Breakfast, which will be held on Monday, March
29, 2004 at 8:00 am at The James Pharmacy, 111 North Ghurton Street, Hillsborough,
North Carolina
• changing the location of the June 21, 2004 budget work session from the Southern
Human Services Center, in Chapel Hill to the Government Services Center, 200 South
Cameron Street, Hillsborough, North Carolina.
