PURPOSE: To consider an appointment to the Commission for Women.
BACKGROUND: A recommendation (see attached) has been made to appoint Ms. Arthrell
Dupree Sanders to the Commission for Women. She was also appointed to the Advisory Board
on Aging recently, but, according to the Resolution regarding the Appointment Process to
Orange County Advisory Boards and Commissions, a citizen may serve in Me appointed
positions: No citizen of Orange County shall serve in more than two appointed posilions of
Orange County Government unless examples! by the nature of the Position he or she may
hold in governmental service."
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None
RECOMMENDATION(S): Appoint Ms. Adhrell Dupree Sanders to the Commission for
Women for a first tens expiring 06/30/2005.
