PURPOSE: To consider appointment to the Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation Commission.
BACKGROUND: The Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation Commission has requested that the
Doak of County Commissioners appoint someone to fill the vacant County position. Aletter of
recommendation and three applications have been forwarded from the Town of Chapel Hill. The
terms on the Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation Commission are for three years and Me
consecutive terms are allowed.

RECOMMENDATIONS) Appoint Peter Schwadz as the County representative on the Chapel
Hill Parks and Recreation Commission, for a term to commence July 1,2002 and end June 30,
2005.
