Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: I think that preserving and improving our parks and public spaces is critical work that benefits all citizens. Making sure that such work is properly resourced, and that those resources are equitably distributed across Orange County, is important for the health and welfare of the people who live here, and is necessary to ensure that Orange County will continue to be an attractive location for families and businesses. Contribution to the diversity of viewpoints on this board: I'm relatively new to Orange County, having moved to Chapel Hill from Durham in April 2022, so I may have a bit of an outsiders perspective. Also, as an attorney, I may bring some expertise that may not currently exist on the board.
