Review and approval of January 18, 2023 ASAB meeting summary:

New Business
o Changes discussed to absentee policy – 2 absences allowed - unexcused absences no
longer allowed – contact Holly if absence is expected – remote participation in Board
meetings is not currently permitted.
o Tiani Schifano & Kelly Shaban presented on Animal Services Community Outreach.
o Dr. Strong reported that she went before County in February and will send
PowerPoint presentation. Also reported on hunting dog issue discussed at last
meeting – stated that hunting dogs are allowed in specified areas in County –
recommended that public call Orange County Sherriff to report violations. Dr.
Strong stated that shelter had reached capacity in January, but due to community
involvement shelter is no longer at capacity.

o Currently 5 vacancies on board.
o Cathy’s appointment is expected to be voted on in March.
