PURPOSE: To consider an appointment/appointments to the Commission for the Environment
(CFE).
BACKGROUND: There are now two At-Large vacancies on the Commission for the
Environment with the recent resignation of Ms. Cara M. Crisler.
One At-Large position expires 12/31/04 (Ms. Crisler's).
One At-Large position expires 12/31/06. (This was Mr. Charles C. Daniel's, III, position, who
was moved to position number 5, by BOCC action on 12/1/03 - to take Mr. Daniel Okun's place
upon Mr. Okun's completion of two terms, 12/31/03)
Several volunteer applications have been received by the Clerk's office for these vacancies
and are attached.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making appointments to the Commission for the
Environment as the Board may decide.
Position number 7 is At-Large, with a partial term to expire December 31, 2004.
Position number 13 is At-Large, for a full three-year term, which would expire December 31,
2006.
