HomeMy WebLinkAboutOCHA Minutes 22-08-18 ORANGE COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY ORANGE COUNTY ADVISORY BOARD MEETING HOUSING DEPARTMENT Thursday, August 18th, 2022 at 6:00 PM Southern Human Services Center Conference Room D MEETING AGENDA 6:00 PM Call to Order/Greetings/Roll Call In attendance Boardmembers: Carmody, Webb Staff: Root, Rosser 6:05 PM Approval of the June Minutes No quorum 6:10 PM Updates from Members Carmody: Interesting news from CH as they decide how to use $7.4M in AH funding Webb:This is last meeting with board as he is moving to DC for job 6:20 PM Program Manager Report • Monthly Overview • Programmatic Reports— Utilization, Voucher Issuance, Two Year Tool, VMS • Informal Hearings—One hearing • HCV Program Update • Personnel Update: Housing Technician/Specialist • HOV Update: Materials finalized, sent to interested participants. • Admin Plan Changes • Limiting Rent Increase amounts (carryover discussion from June) Can't make decision due to quorum, but like idea of limiting amount, not as concerned for potential of owner flight from program. Formal vote not necessary and staff will confirm with chairperson Mahood before sending. 7:10 PM Recruiting for board vacancies (carryover from June) • Board currently has 2 vacancies • Applications to review from Jenn Sykes and Jana Murdock-Doherty Board that both applicants will be good additions, will need to await quorum to formally recommend.
