SUBJECT: Opioid Advisory Committee — Composition Amendment

PURPOSE: To approve the addition of a County Manager Designee from the Department on
Aging to the Opioid Advisory Committee, as discussed at the October 25, 2022 Work Session.
BACKGROUND: The composition of the Opioid Advisory Committee was established at the
Board's September 6, 2022 Business Meeting.
The approved composition for the committee includes twelve (12) designated positions and seven
(7) positions appointed by the Board.
The following designated position is recommended as an addition to the approved composition:

20 Orange County Department on Aging County Manager Designee
FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with this item.
SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal associated with this
item.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There is no Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal
impact associated with this item.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board approve the addition of a County
Manager Designee from the Department on Aging.
