ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
RESOLUTION
2020 Eno Haw Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan Amendment
WHEREAS , Orange County is vulnerable to an array of natural hazards that can cause loss of
life and damage to public and private property ; and
WHEREAS , Orange County desires to seek ways to mitigation situations that may aggravate such
circumstances ; and
WHEREAS , Orange County has identified point repairs to the Lake Orange spillway as additional
infrastructure to limit the impacts of natural hazards to our community ; and
WHEREAS , we , the Orange County Board of Commissioners , formally adopted the Eno Haw
Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan in 2020 ;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED , that the Orange County Board of Commissioners :
1 . Adopts Amendment One , Attachment A , to the Eno Haw Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan ;
2 . Agrees to take such other official action as may be reasonably required to carry out the
proposed project to the extent that such are eligible under the Federal Emergency
Management Agency' s Flood Mitigation Assistance Grant program ; and
3 . Agrees to incorporate the salient points of this amendment into the next update of the
Orange County Annex M to the Eno Haw Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , by the Orange County Board of Commissioners that this resolution
shall take effect immediately upon its adoption .
