This shift in NIM responsibilities will apply to special use, rezoning, and major subdivision requests, which can be approved, respectively, by the Board of Adjustment, Board of County Commissioners, and Planning Department staff. The current requirements create the perception that County staff is presenting and promoting these requests rather than the applicant and generate confusion about what a staff recommendation for a request versus staff presentation of a project. It is the intention to maintain a County presence at NIMs to verify the meeting's occurrence and content. Please communicate any feedback or questions to Tyler Sliger, Planner II (tsliger(c-b-orangecountync.gov) or Cy Stober, Planning & Inspections Director (cstober orangecountync.gov).
