PURPOSE: To reappoint Ms. Jean Andrews Earnhardt to the Carrboro NTA Advisory Board.
BACKGROUND: This Committee reviews zoning amendment requests, and special and
conditional use permit applications for development within the Northern Transition Area of
Carrboro, and seeks to preserve and enhance the special character of this area, making
recommendations to the Carrboro Board of Aldermen. The Committee consists of five
members, three of which are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners.
Ms. Jean Andrews Earnhardt's first term expired on January 31, 2002. She is eligible for
another term and is being recommended for reappointment.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None
RECOMMENDATION(S): Reappoint Ms. Jean Andrews Earnhardt to the Carrboro Northern
Transition Area Advisory Committee for a second term to expire January 31, 2005.
