PURPOSE: To consider one change in the County Commissioners' regular meeting calendar
for year 2002.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-00, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any emerge in
the Regular Meeting Schedule. The County Commissioners will change the beginning time of
the meeting scheduled for February 11j° to 6'.30 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to go into
Closed Session 'to consider the qualifications, competence, character,fitness, conditions of
appointment. or conditions of initial employment of an individual public officer or employee or
prospective public offil or employee' NCGS § 143-318.111a1(8).
FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE
RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend their regular
meeting calendar by changing the beginning time for the meeting scheduled for Monday,
February 1ls to 6:30 p.m. at the Government Services Center in Hillsborough.
