Box 8181 Hillsborough, NC 27278 RE: NOTICE - WQ0042650 - Orange County Public Transportation Septic Improvements sewer extension BBUDC Inc signed a contract for the above project on October 5, 2020, BBUDC commenced planning, applied for permits and site layout shortly thereafter. BBUDC informed Orange County, that a plumbing permit could not be issued based on the plans submitted; preventing BBUDC from commencement of the project listed above. Orange County delayed the project to obtain a Sewer Variance from the State of North Carlina in November of 2020. Orange County notified BBUDC on or about August 27, 2021; that the Sewer Variance from the State of North Carolina had been approved. Since the date that BBUDC submitted the bid and signed the contract on October 5, 2020, material cost has more than double, there has also been an in increase in labor cost, and other cost for this project. BBUDC would like to proceed on this project; but can only do so at the revised price of $61,887.00. Please advise immediately if Orange County is willing to execute a Change Order to reflect the new contract price of $61,887.00. Thank you for your time and prompt reply. That was October 2021. Please add another 10% to the price and this will be good until April of 2022. 2. Also as stated in the previous email when we were on-site documenting the depth of the Sewer Lines to tie into the. There is no way to get the 1% fall or slope with the existing location of the tie sewer depth and the existing depth of the office building. The most will be at a .50% slope. The building code allows a .25% slope. The Change of slope (fall) would need to be included in a Change order. Did the engineering have a benchmark that was used to get the grade? I so where is the Benchmark located on the site. See attached Certificate of Insurance. We look forward to hearing from you and the commencement of this project.
