I apoligize that I haven't made it official, I received my letter in my packet and I wanted to make it official. Becasue of my work schedule, I am unable to attend the meetings on Tuesday and Thursday. I hope that I will be able to serve in the future, when my schedule allows me to serve, You all are wonderful people and although I didn't get alot of time to serve with you. I enjoyed my experiences. I looking forward to serving with you all on fiiture projects. Together we can work together to make Women and Children's lives better in North Carolina. Sincerely, Jeanette Holloman 306 Azalea Dr /O Chapel Hill, NC 27517 my 31, 2003 Orange County Commission for Women To whom it may concern: It is with much regret that I must tender my resignation from the Commission for Women, Recent escalations in my workplace and childcare responsibilities have eroded my available time, Good, dedicated work requires devoted time and given my current time constraints, I feel that I can no longer provide the kind of service the Commission deserves, There is no satisfaction forme, and certainly no benefit to the Commission, in providing less than good work. I hops the Commission members understand. I have enjoyed my time with the Commission and the women I have come to know. July 18, 2003 Mr. James Spivey Orange County Human Rights and Relations Commission 110 South Churton Street P.O, Box 8181 Hillsborough, NC 27278 Re: Resignation From The Orange County Commission for Women Deaz James: It is with reluctance and regret that I write this letter to you to announce to the Commission. It is not for want of commitment or desire, nay, to the contrary, but it is for lack of perfect health, which I have enjoyed my entire life. I understand, we all get our turn; however, this is one time when equity ought not to be the goal. During my brieftenure with the Commission, T have enjoyed my time with you all and leave knowing that you all will continue with its critical mission. I realize that the mission of the Commission and that of the HR.&RC is not a `sexy' one; however, I believe they aze vital not only for the women of Orange County, but also for the community at lazge, and the state as a whole, Whenever I would feel too tired to attend these meetings or any of the many others of which I am a part, I always reminded myself of a paraphrased quote I once heard, "Time doesn't change anything - it never did; people do -people with vision and commitment." I believe, altogether unreservedly, that it is grassroots people and efforts like ours that create this change, Continue on.
