PURPOSE: To extentl the term entling tlates of all Orange County Little River Perk Advisory
Committee (LRPAC) representatives for an adtlitlonal year, antl to appoint two members to the
LRPAC.
BACKGROUND: The Little Rlver Park Advisory Committee (LRPAC) was established in
October 2001 by [he four padner entities that worked together to acquire [he 391-acre tract for
the Little River Regional Park antl Natural Area-Orange County, Durham County, Triangle
Land Conservancy and Eno River Association.
The Committee is mmprisetl of representatives from [hose four entAies antl some citizens from
the area surrountling the future pads. The committee was originally set up tc meet from October
200010 September 2001, antl the [eitns expired on September 30, 2001. Il now appears that
[he Committee's wog will no[ be completetl until eatly 2002.
Two vacancies now exist from Orange County. Ms. Loraine Kohorn, representing [he
Commission Porthe Environment (CFE), movetl from Orange County recently. Ms. Laraine H.
Pager, representing the Orange County Recreation antl Parks Advisory Council (RPAC), has
asked to be replacetl by another member of the RPAC.
Mr. Johnny Randall, member of the CFE, antl Ms. Sandra Johnson Ouinn, member of the
RPAC, have both agreed 1o serve on the LRPAC.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None
RECOMMENDATION(S): Extentl the terms of all Oange Count' representatives an the Little
River Palk Advisory CommMee for one year, with term axpiafion dates of September 30, 2002;

and appoint the fallowing two people to the Little River Park Advisory Commikee: (1) Johnny
Rantlall [o replace Ms Loraine Kohom, as the representative from the Orange County
Commission for the Environment, with a term expiration of September 30, 2002; (2) Ms. Sandra
Johnson Quinn to replace Ms Lorraine H. Parker, as the representative of the Orange County
Recreation and Parks Advisory Council, wdh a term expiration of September 3g, 2002.
