BADKGROUND: On November 14, 2001, the County Manager arganpetl a work session with local utility companies, Social Services end non-profit agencies to itleney Ne current nestle antl issues relatetl to provitling emergency services, particularly u4lNies, to low-Income resitlents. The repreaematives at the meeting provided information about the current economic sdue[lon in the County, the demantl for emergency services, the actions being liken by utllly companies to address the neetls, and the resoumes available from the charitable and public grganivations to serve these families.
