We are still waiting to hear about other state or federal funding that might be available. b) Eno Mill Update Katie moved into the new space the last day of May. The space is still under construction but should be done by next week. We might possibly have the August meeting in person. c) Grants Update Katie hosted two training sessions for this year's grants and they were well attended. Panels will meet in July. A stipend of$200 will be given to guest panelists to acknowledge their time. Panels may or may not be held in person. Katie will assess the comfort level for participants. 4) Future of Orange County Arts Support Fund We have distributed $134,150 mostly to individual artists and some organizations. We have a need for a fund managed by the Orange County Art Alliance, a fundraising arm. It could be an emergency fund for individuals or organizations and would allow us as an organization to continue to offer support. The board voted to have Katie close the covid relief fund and investigate an artists' emergency fund. 5) Future DEI work This did not get county funding but we need to find a way to make it happen. We need a free, 6 months -1 year program, to help arts organizations understand the importance of being able to embrace different types of people and to understand systemic racism. 6) Art on the Hill Meetings will start in July for this event next summer. 7) Liaison Reports a) UNC Student Liaison Report Many thanks to Matthew and best of luck in LA. b) Chapel Hill Arts Commission There will be a Juneteenth celebration. Better communication going forward is in order. e) The ArtsCenter The center is looking for a new education director. The regular gallery season will begin in September.
