I. Call to Order—Frances Castillo, Chair
A. Commissioner Frances Castillo called the meeting to order at 6:31 pm.
I. Approval of Statement— February 8, 2021
A. Commissioner Stephanie Harrell motioned for the HRC to make and publish a statement
addressing violence against Asian Americans and people of Asian descent. Commissioner
Mahaley seconded the motion. All were in favor of the motion.
III. Approval of Executive Committee drafting a resolution for API Heritage Month
A. Commissioner Ana Garcia-Turner motioned for the executive committee to be given
limited delegated authority to write the resolution regarding Asian American and Pacific
Islander Heritage Month. Commissioner Harrell seconded the motion.
IV. Adjourn
A. Commissioner Castillo adjourned the meeting.
