STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA
ORANGE COUNTY
To the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Hillsborough , North Carolina :
1 . As evidenced by the signature of the Chair below, the Orange County Board of Commissioners,
the elected representatives of Orange County, the owner of certain real property referenced
and described herein , respectfully requests that the area described in paragraph 2 be annexed
to the Town of Hillsborough , North Carolina .
2 . The area to be annexed is contiguous to the Town of Hillsborough , North Carolina and the
boundaries of such territory are as follow :
Being all of a certain parcel of land situated in Hillsborough Township, Orange County,
N . C . bounded on the north by Douglas and Kitnberly Robins (Deed Book 5088 Page 190
Plat Book 109 Page 194) on the east by Town of Hillsborough (Deed Book 5495 Page 1. 85 ,
Plat Book 74 Page 127) , on the south by Interstate 85 and on the west by Snorts Endeavors ,
Inc. (Deed Book 1075 Page 382 Plat Book 8 Page 90) and North Carolina Railroad, and
being more particularly described as follows .
Beginning at an existing iron pipe (eip) having NC Grid values of N = 841 , 342. 34 E = 1 ,972,998. 94,
said eip being in the eastern line of Sports Endeavors , .Inc. and at the southwest corner of Robins ;
thence, with Robins ' southern line and crossing Valley Forge Road, S 66632'37 " E 340 , 80 ' to a point
in the center line of Cates Creek, Town of Hillsborough 's southwest comer; thence, with the Town
of Hillsborough 's western line and the center line of Cates Creek for the following six cads :
S 44010227 " E 64 . 43 ' to a point, S 31044119" E 218 . 40', to a point S 43033 '59 " E 426 , 64' to a point,
S 16039'34" E 43 . 85' to a point, S 26° 26'23" W 279. 05 ' to a point and S 23 °08'49" W 39. 72' to a
point in the northern Right of-Way of Interstate 85 ; thence, with said Right- of-Way and crossing a
30. 00' reference iron pipe. S 70005 '49" W 370 . 59 ' to a set iron pipe in the eastern Right^of Way of
NC Railroad* thence, with said eastern Right- of-Way, N 25°01 '46" W 683 . 80 ' to a set iron pipe$
thence, continuing with said Right- of-Way, along a curve to the right having a radius of 2262. 69 '
(chord N 23°49 '49" W 198 . 61 for an arc length of 198.08' to point; thence, continuing with said
Right- of=Way, along a curve to the right having a radius of 1308. 15 ' (chord N 19' 11 '06" W �149 . 77')
for an arc length of 149. 85 ' to a set iron pipe in the eastern line of Sports Endeavors , Inc . ; thence,
leaving said eastern Right- of-Way and with said eastern line, N 06°01 '17" E 280 . 43 ' to the point and
place of beginning containing 12. 866 acres, more or less , as shown on "Boundary/Physical Survey
property of Grange County" by Riley Surveying, P.A. dated June 10, 2021 .
