BACKGROUND: The second term of Mr. Daniel Okun will expire at the end of December this year. He is not eligible to be reappointed having served two consecutive terms. Mr. Okun has filled the Water Resources position on the Commission for the Environment (CFE). There are not any applicants for the CFE who are experienced in water issues; however, three current CFE members have knowledge and experience in water issues and are currently serving on the CFE Water Resources Committee. These three are now serving as At-Large members. They are: Charles C. Daniel, III Richard Pratt Richard Whisnant FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. RECOMMENDATION(S): Move onf; member with water resources experience to the Water Resources position, no. 5, to become effective January 1, 2004, immediately after the second term expiration of Mr. Daniel Okun.
