BACKGROUND: The Transition Area position on the Cambprp BoeN of AtljusMent has been
vacant since the resignation of Mr. Btephenbear. The Board of Aldermen adopted a resolutlon
(received on October 3, 2001) requesting that Mc John I. Ring. who resides in [he Transition
Area of Carrbom, be appointed, Pursuant to GS i60A-362, the Board of County
Commissioners has 90 days fmm the receipt of the resolution to make an appointment to [his
position, after which the Carrboro Board of Aldermen may make k. We have advertised for this
position.
