These are not new changes, but a readlting o/ a aeparete section of the subtlivision
regulations to conform [o whet was previously atlopted.
BACKGROUND: The Orange County Bcan1 M County Commieabners, on Ocober 10,
2000, atloptetl ameMments to the Orange County Subdivision Regulations, Appends A
Orange County Private Raad StarMaMS, to reduce the number of lots an a private road imm
25 to 12: eliminate Ne dasa C private road provision: ant tp reduce the number of lots on a
cleea 6 private mad from 9 to 5. Street sWntlaNS (SUbseMbn D.4) in Section IV-B-10
Flexible Deveopment that mimic language in Ne Orenge County Private Rcad StandaMs are
now not consistent wbh the newly adopted amentlments. PmPOSetl amendments (page 2)
will make Section IV-&10 DA mnsis[ent with ApPentls A Orange County Private Roatl
StendeMe.
Planning stag presented the pmppsed amentlments on September 2T, 2001 at a pint public
hearing before the Orange County BOaM of County Commissioners antl the Orenge County
Plannirg Boats. The Boartl pf County Commissioners referred the ameMments to [he
Plannirg Boertl for its recommendalan. The Planning Boats mnsitlered the proposed
amentlments at its meeting on October 3. 2001. and voted unanimously tp rewmmentl that
the BcaN of County Commissioners atlop[the amendments.
