PURPOSE: To receive the Bnel report from the Libmry Servims Task Fome.
BACKGROUND: In June 2000, the BOCC createtl the Librery Services Task Force to alutly
librery services in Ne County and prepare a plan for Oange County libraries by November
2001. Commissioner Barry Jambe serves as Chairfor this Task Farce.
A group of epprexlmetNy 14 people comprised of township representa0ves, Poentls' groups,
eleMetl officials, Chapel Hill and Orange County library stall members began meeting in
October 2000 and met monthly through September 200'1.
Tha results of these meetings are presented a<[his time as the final report in ortler b obtain
comments from members of the Bash.
