PURPOSE: To pmvitle the opportunity for the BOaN Of GOUnty Commissioners antl other
interestetl parties to see and discuss Ne PowerPOin[ presentation and other educational
materiels developed by the Bond Education Committee in preparation for the November 6, 2001
bontl referendum.
BACKGROUND: Orange County has scheduled a bontl referentlum for November 6, 2001.
The referendum provitles the opportunity for citizens to vote on four separate bontl aNers to
atltlross schools, affortleCle housing, senior centers, and parks, recreation antl open space. In
preparetion far the referentlum, the BOCC appointed a Bond Etluca[ion Committee [o tlevelop
educational ma[etlals to Iniprm the public regartling me bond questions antl (M1eneetls which
letl to the scheduling of the referendum. TM1e Bond Etlucalion Committee has deveopetla
PowerPOinl presentation tleteiling various aspects of the bond referentlum. The Committee has
also wmpiled brochures to M1elp etlucate the public on questions regartling [M1e bontl proposals.
The PowerPOint presentation will be shown at the meeting and wpiea of the brochures will also
be available.

matedals.
