PURPOSE: To provitle the oppodunity for Ne BOCC W tliacuss any remaining solki waste
topics from the Board of Commissioners' October 1, 2001 solid waste work sesaion.
BACKGROUND: The BOCC will have heltl a solid wean work session on October 1, 2001.
Based on the e#ent of the BoeM's tliscusslone [hat evenin& there may be a need for the
BOCC to discuss any remaining solitl waste items. The BoaN will engage in any further
discussions basetl on Ne activities at the October 1"meeting antl the time available dutlnq the
October 2"'regular meeting.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no directfinancial impact associated with further discussion of
selitl waste topics.
RECOMMENDATION(S~: The Manager recommends that Me Board diecuse arty remaining
solid waste topcs and provitle any necessary direction to staff.
