Amended Scope Following the incorporation of the design for structural retrofit into the contract documents and subsequent pricing for change order by the apparent low bidder, the County determined that the magnitude of the potential change order exceeds limitations for awarding the contract and the project must be rebid. This proposal amends our services to administer a full re-bid the project with the combined upfit and structural retrofitting scope: • Bidding: o We will lead and administer the Bidding and Negotiation process. Similar to the previous bid,this assumes an informal bid of invited Contractors. o Tasks include: ■ Revise the bid manual and incorporate all updates from previous RFI responses into the contract documents, and reissue documents to bidders. ■ Attend a Contractor walkthrough to identify the additional scope for the structural retrofit. ■ Respond to all subcontractor Requests for Information (RFIs). ■ Review alternates and substitution requests proposed by the Bidders. ■ Coordinate changes and issue addenda to the Bidders, as needed. ■ Tabulate final bid tab and issue to the County and Bidders.
