Board Members present: Fred Joiner, Chair; Delia Keefe, Secretary; Tinka Jordy,
Vice Chair; Dan Mayer, Linda Williamson, Doris Friend, Tim Hoke, Anita Mills,
Bronwyn Merritt, Marcela Slade, Justin Haslett, Matthew Keith, Marlon Torres
Board Members absent:
Staff Present: Katie Murray, Executive Director; Emilie Menzel, Assistant
I. Fred called the meeting to order at 6:37 pm.
II. Tim moved to approve the August 2020 minutes. Doris seconded.
III. Advisory Board Update
a. Keith/Bailey are approved and will be officially appointed on
October 6'
IV. Director's Report:
a. 50K Operations Support Grants
The same guidelines as those for the grassroots will apply. Non-
profits need to be a top priority. Funds cannot go to a
government funded agency.
b. Orange County Arts Support Fund, Round 4
This fund is for individuals. $8000 is available. We will wait on
this funding and will market it differently.
c. Art on the Hill
This event has been postponed until 2022.
V. Start time for virtual meetings.
Following discussion, it was decided to leave the meeting time
at 6:3 0 pm.
VI. Liaison Reports
a. UNC Student Liaison
Go to UNC Student Theater Collaboration for information on
theater activity.
b. OCAG
The guild is using a Foursquare site to show art virtually in
place of their usual fall Tour.
The remainder of the meeting was spent on grant funding. Those board
members who applied for grant funding were dismissed.
