PURPOSE: To review materials and plans for the Bond Etlucation Committee in preparation
far Commihee's first meeting on September 5, 2001.
BACKGROUND: The BoaN of County Commissioners eppointetl a citizens' Bond Education
Committee to help develop antl tlisseminate factual intotmadon about the cep8al nestle that led
to bond referenda in November 1968, November 1992, antl November 199]. Over the last few
months, the Boats has createtl antl appcintetl a Bond Etlucation CommiHee in preparation for
the November 2001 bontl referentlum. The Committee is comprised of interested cR¢ens who
will communicate tc mmmunlry groups, civic organizations, end voters in general about the
needs that have led to the schetluling of a November 6, 2001 bond referentlum for Orange
County.
