III. Executive Committee Report:
a. The Orange County Arts Council bylaws are being edited. The bylaws
are flexible and identify the council as a supportive network
for the commission. Members of the commission need to receive all
notifications in writing. Discussions about the bylaws
included financial and fundraising involvement, and membership
appointment and attendance requirements. There will be crossover
in membership between the council and the commission. Katie will
send out a final draft.
b. There will be no December board meeting.
IV. Director's Report:
a. Katie's office will move to Meadowlands.
b. Eno Mill Project. Katie is drawing up the application for artists.
Diversity in regard to age, race, career levels, and mediums will be
considered.
The goal is to provide artists' working space, not jurying. Samples of
artwork, CV's, artists' statements, references, and credit check may be
required.
c. Arts Educator Grants. 16 applicants received $150 each for professional
development. The commission will change and improve the application
for next year.

a. UNC Student Liaison Update. Rachel reported that students are busy
with papers and exams at this point in the semester. There are ongoing
performances on campus.
b. The Arts Center. There will be a community input session, open to the
public, on Wednesday, November 13th at OWASA. Planning is ongoing
for the site
design of the new Arts Center and fundraising is continuing. The Elf
Market, with about 50 vendors, will be held on December 7th. The Gala
is
scheduled for April 25, 2020.
c. Visitors Bureau. The bureau has a new website design. Just Do You. A
