I spent many years visiting and enjoying Old Salem, and the rich history of the area. One of the reasons I fell in love with Hillsborough and decided to move here with my family was because of the rich history in downtown. I have a background in the arts, and have worked in historical homes (Reynolds House Museum of American Art) as a docent and volunteer president (SECCA). I have a working knowledge of conservatorship due to this along with my work at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: I think it is of the upmost importance to preserve the history of our town for future generations. In addition, the history is a draw for tourism to our town and I love talking about our town to others and highlighting the history. Contribution to the diversity of viewpoints on this board: I have lived in various locations in our state, and in our country. I have dealt with various opinions and those who fight for historical preservation in North Carolina and Mass.
