In those positions, I have served on multiple advisory boards for the university, e.g., Friday Center Advisory Board, Summer School Advisory Board, Athletic Support Programs Advisory Board, etc. as well as working with advisory and foundation boards for the School of Education as part of my administrator s role. In all of these positions, I have often been in the role of negotiator or mediator(and in fact have certification in mediation). I am a good listener, am often able to summarize salient important points, and find common ground among participants. Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: We live in the Northern Transition area and are committed to appropriate growth and development of our rural landscape. I know that our town is changing and I welcome much of what has been done.
