Additions or Changes to the Agenda PUBLIC CHARGE The Board of Commissioners pledges its respect to all present. The Board asks those attending this meeting to conduct themselves in a respectful, courteous manner toward each other, county staff and the commissioners. At any time should a member of the Board or the public fail to observe this charge, the Chair will take steps to restore order and decorum. Should it become impossible to restore order and continue the meeting, the Chair will recess the meeting until such time that a genuine commitment to this public charge is observed. The BOCC asks that all electronic devices such as cell phones,pagers, and computers should please be turned off or set to silent/vibrate. Please be kind to everyone. Arts Moment—Nancy Peacock, served as Piedmont Laureate in 2018, and is the author of the novels Life Without Water(chosen as a New York Times Notable Book), Home Across the Road, and The Life and Times of Persimmon Wilson, winner of ShelfUnbound Best Self Published Novel, and Writer's Digest Best Self-Published Book in Mainstream Fiction, later traditionally published by Atria Press. She is also the author of the memoir and"writing-in-the-real-world"guide A Broom of One's Own: Words on Writing, Housecleaning and Life, which chronicles the many years she spent dusting her own books as she earned a living cleaning houses, and what she learned about writing from that humbling experience.
