Board Members present: Fred Joiner, Chair; Delia Keefe, Secretary; Tinka Jordy,,Vice Chair;
Rachael Despard, Doris Friend, Chris Kubica, Dan Mayer, Ashley Nissler, and Linda
Williamson
Board Members absent: Anita Mills, Tim Hoke, Marcela Slade, Bronwyn Merritt, Marlon
Torres, Justin Haslett,
Staff Present.• Katie Murray, Executive Director; Taylor Tyson, Intern
I. Fred called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m.
II. Approval of July Minutes:
• Doris moved, Ashley seconded to approve the July, 2019 minutes. Motion carried.
IIl. Staff Update:
• Intern, Taylor Tyson,joined the meeting and all present introduced themselves to
her.
IV. Grants:
• Katie opened discussion the weighting of scores for separate grant categories and
the dispersion of grants.
• Katie discussed the division of funds via category (as defined as Artist
Project Grants, Organization, and Arts in Education).
• Fred moved, Ashley seconded that funds be divided equally by a third for
each category and then equitably based on scenario and score. Motion
carried unanimously.
1. Artist organization and arts in education category grants were funded
using Scenario 2 (with allocation based off of the equal division per
category).
2. Artists project grants were approved at 65 and above using Scenario 3
Fred made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Dan seconded.
Fred adjourned the meeting at 7:51 p.m.
