SUBJECT: Change in BOCC Meeting Schedule for 2020

PURPOSE: To consider one change to the Board of Commissioners' meeting calendar for
2020.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
the Meeting Schedule:
• To add a Joint Meeting with the School Boards on February 25, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. and
the meeting location will be at the Whitted Building, 300 West Tryon Street, Hillsborough,
N.C.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with this item.
SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact associated
with this item.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There is no Orange County Environmental Impact Goal impact
associated with this item.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board amend its meeting calendar
for 2020:
• To add a Joint Meeting with the School Boards on February 25, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. and
the meeting location will be at the Whitted Building, 300 West Tryon Street, Hillsborough,
N.C.
