Discussion point: Approval of June, 2012 Minutes
Decision/Vote(s): Vote taken
Action Item: Approved
Topic B
Discussion point: Director’s Report
Decision/Vote(s): Staff updated OCAC Board on recent activities. Tamara Oxley
has resigned because she has moved her residence to Durham County.
Action Item: OCAC Board suggested a volunteer applicant for her possible
replacement.
Topic C
Discussion point: Report from Liaisons Present
Decision/Vote(s): Martha Shannon reported on June, 2012 CHOCVB meeting where
Arts & Economic Prosperity IV report was discussed. Gordon Jameson reported that
FRANK gallery has hired a new gallery manager.
Action Item: None
Topic D
Discussion point: Selection of Nominating Committee for New Officers
Decision/Vote(s): Nominating Committee was selected (Cher Tuskey, Charles
Hochman, Bronwyn Merritt) to develop a new slate of officers.
Action Item: Nominating Committee will bring a new slate of officers to September, 2012
OCAC meeting for vote.
Topic E
Discussion point: Public Art Installations
Decision/Vote(s): Discussed new bench placed inside Wayne Trapp public art sculpture
project at Orange County Public Library in Hillsborough.
Action Item: Will recommend that we include a contract item that allows enough
space be maintained inside (negative space) and outside future sculpture installations.
