Discussion point: March and April, 2012 Minutes
Decision/Vote(s): Discussion of March and April, 2012 Minutes
Action Item: Minutes approved with no changes.
Topic B
Discussion point: Director’s Report
Decision/Vote(s): Staff updated OCAC board on recent activities, including AFTA
report (Arts & Economic Prosperity IV), new draft of OCAC’s policies &
procedures, and ARTS North Carolina’s recent “Calls to Action”
Action Item: None
Topic C
Discussion point: New Requirements for Grant Agreements with Grantees
Decision/Vote(s): Discussed new requirements for Grant Agreements with
grantees RE: use of ExploreChapelHillARTS.com to publicize funded programs
Action Item: Approved addition of new requirements. Language will be drafted
based on wording already used by Greensboro & Winston-Salem arts councils.
Topic D
Discussion point: Encourage More Grant Applications from Individual Artists
Decision/Vote(s): Discussed various possibilities (increase amount of grant
award, eliminate match, etc.)
Action Item: Board will consider possible recommendations in August, 2012.
Topic E
Discussion point: Report from Liaisons Present
Decision/Vote(s): Andrea Riley reported on recent progress of Orange County
Cultural Center. Martha Shannon reported on most recent CHOCVB meeting.
Action Item: None
