Discussion Point: Approval of December, 2012 Minutes
Decision/Vote(s): Vote taken
Action Item: Approved unanimously
Topic B
Discussion Point: Director’s Report
Decision/Vote(s): Staff updated board on recent activities including 2 requests for extensions
from grant recipients for completion of their projects. A few board members terms are
expiring at the end of March.
Action Item: Requested extensions approved unanimously
Topic C
Discussion Point: Report from Liaisons Present
Decision/Vote(s): Gordon Jameson reported hotel revenues are up in Orange County.
Andrea Riley reported on progress of the Cultural Center, and that they are having a fund
raising event. Todd Neal wasn’t present to report on the Public Art committee. Rebecca Ray
said that The School Project will have a report for the board at the February meeting or later.

Discussion Point: There was a discussion on our grant evaluation process, regarding
multiple applications from the same organizations, schools, or artists.

Discussion Point: Gordon Jameson informed the board about a fund raiser FRANK Gallery is
having in January. ART MOMENT: Charles Hochman informed the board of upcoming North
Carolina Opera events.
