Srhaol_ liaards and the.. Commissioners. The Board would like to have the following items considered for discussion during our meeting: 1. School Nurses • Our Board has made a concerted effort for several years now to have a nurse in each of our schools. There has been some discussion about this issue in a small committee that included representatives from the school systems, the Health Department, and Commissioners. Can the Commissioners give feedback on providing assistance to both school systems in fulfilling the goal of having a nurse for each school? 2. Impact Fees • There has been a considerable amount of work done on the Adequate Public Facilities Ordinance and it appears to be moving toward closure. We would appreciate some feedback on how the process is being received throughout the county, and when a final decision will be made. 3. Alternative School • We are interested in any discussions about an individual or joint effort and support to address this need. 4. The Budget Process • An open discussion about the current budget process and the possibility of some adjustments. 5. Upcoming Bond Referendum • An opportunity to discuss the needs of our system in the bond package. /ha cc: Orange County Board of Education Prange County Schools "Providing educational opportunities far successful futures.
