PURPOSE: To clarify the times for two of the changes in the County Commissioners' regular
meeting calendar for the year 2005, that was approved on May 17, 2005.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
the Regular Meeting Schedule,
The Board of County Commissioners approved changes to their regular meeting calendar at the
May 17, 2005 regular meeting that included adding two public hearings: Wednesday, August
24, 2005 at the Southern Human Services Center, 2501 Homestead Raad, Chapel Hill and
Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at the F. Gordon Battle Courtroom, 106 East Margaret Lane,
Hillsborough, North Carolina, The meeting time for both public hearings is 7:30 p.m,
FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE
RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board clarify the times for the
approved public hearings for: Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at the Southern Human Services
Center, 2501 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Wednesday, August 31, 2005
at the F. Gordon Battle Courtroom, 106 East Margaret Lane, Hillsborough, North Carolina, The
meeting time for both public hearings is 7:30 p,m,
