J. M. Hobbs, Commissioners Clarence Jones, Donald McDade and Henry Walker. Members absents Co~iseioner Donald Stanford. Hasa Auditing Compaq of Raleigh, N. C. was signed by Chairman Hobbs. Hoard The A.H.C./reported on the part oT the audit which had boon completed. After conelderable discussion on the financial statutue of the A.H.C. System it was agreed that the System would repay the $20,000.00 borrwed from Orange County m Larch 2, 1959, by Larch of 1960 and that the Board could undertake to psy the County $10,000.00 from the A.H.C. profits by Lay of 1960. Tha Board of Education met with the Comaisalonera at 3 p.m. and requested approval of the Guidance Program, in order, that the psrsonnol for the program might ba immediately employed. Upon motion of Commissioner LeDade, aeco¢dod by Commiaeioner Walker, and unanimously adopted, tLe Hoard approved in prlaclpal the Guidance Program. The Sherriff and Clark of Court were asked to make m investigation on the fee schedule oS +Le oomtiae ad~oi¢ing Orange, in order, that the Board might make a comparsion study. Thera was no business presented to the Board eo the Board of Equalisation and Revi ew recessed until 3 p•m. on Monday, August 3, 1959. Members presents Chairman R. J. M. Hobbs, Commissioners Clarence Jonas, Donald McDade, Donald Stanford sad Remy Walker. Members absents Hones T. A. Hurton, L. H. Cuntar and C, I. Walters, sepreseatativse of the State Highway Commission, were present. The purpose of this meeting was to approve the 9econdard Hoad Plan for the coming fiscal year. Aftor a lenghty discueaio¢ of this plan Commissioner Walker moved that said plan be accepted, Commissioner McDade sacoaded the motion, end n,=~*+.a* Hobbs called for a votes. there were k ayes and 0 Hayes. F. L. Fuller of Durham presented a road petition to the Board. This petition lacked the signature of two property ovmers. T. A• Hurto¢ suggested this petition be approved and mailed to the State Highway Canmisaioa in its present form. Upon motion oS Commissioner Stanford, seconded by Commissioner Joaess'.tha.Clerk wsa requested to forward the Fuller petition to the Higbway Commission. Chairman Hobbs called for a vote and there sere 4 ayes and O aayea. 0. D. Garvin, District Health Officers came before the Hoard to request they appropriate fund to buy polio vaccine far all parsons between the ages of b thru 20 who are unable to pay a physician for such vaccine. The Board was in sympathy with this request but that Dr. Garvin first trp to secure these funds from the local March of Dimes Organiaatioa. The aub~ect of Snsurance on County property was brought to the attention of the Board by the County Accountant. After a discnsaio¢ it was moved by Coamdseloaer Walker and eaconded b9 Commissioner Joasa that the total coverage be increased by, ~100s000.00. Mra.
