PURPOSE: To hear public comment on the proposed rezoning of properties to ED-LO-1 and ED-LO-2
BACKGROUND:
The Orange County/Hillsborough Economic Development Districts Task Force has been
working since February of 2000 on creating a new classification of zoning districts for the
Hillsborough Area EDD. These zoning atlas amendments are to rezone specific areas to the
the Hillsborough Area EDD.
The proposed atlas amendments are as follows:
AREA 1: R1 to ED-LO-1
AREA 2: R3 to ED-LO-1
AREA A: ED to ED-LO-1
(NE, SE, NW, part of SW Quadrants
AREA A: ED to ED-LO-2
(Remainder of SW Quadrant)
AREA 3c: R1 to ED-LO-1
RECOMMENDATION(S): Staff recommends Approval of the proposed zoning atlas amendments
Administration recommends that the zoning atlas amendments be
referred to the Planning Board for a recommendation back to the Board
of County Commissioners at the April 17, 2001 meeting.

that I have mailed,. or have had mailed, by first class mail, postage prepaid, a Notice of the
Public Hearing to each property owner and adjacent owners within 500 feet of each of the
petitions listed below, as listed on the Tax Records filed with the petition, and as required by
Article 20, Section 6.3 of the Orange County Zoning Ordinance.
