Home My WebLink About2019-455-E Housing - Urban Design ventures contract amendment DocuSign Envelope ID:7353FC92-5B73-4D45-86CA-D32B32ABB4C2 ORANGE COUNTY AMENDMENT TO SERVICES AGREEMENT NORTH CAROLINA THIS AMENDMENT, made and entered into this the 12th day of July, 2019, by and between the County of Orange, a body politic and corporate of the State of North Carolina, ("County"), and Urban Design Ventures,LLC("Provider"); WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, the County and Provider entered into a Services Agreement dated, March 26, 2019, and identified by the County as 2019-195-E Housing, to provide services to be rendered by Provider to County's Housing Department("Original Agreement"); and WHEREAS, the County and Provider desire to amend the Original Agreement, while keeping in effect all terms and conditions of the Original Agreement not inconsistent with the terms and conditions set forth below. NOW THEREFORE, for and in consideration for the mutual covenants and agreements made herein, the parties agree to amend the Original Agreement as follows: Add the delivery of technical assistance specified in the attached proposal to Sections 1.1.1, Scope of Work and 3.1.1 Basic Services; and increase the maximum amount payable for Basic Services to $22,000 in Section 5.1.1, Compensation for Basic Services, to include the cost of the Technical Assistance services,which is $8,000. Except for the changes made Section 1.1.1, Scope of Work, Section 3.1.1, Basic Services, and Section 5.1.1, Compensation herein,the Original Agreement shall remain in full force and effect to the extent it is not inconsistent with this Amendment. In the event that there is a conflict between the Original Agreement and this Amendment,this Amendment shall control. Our firm would welcome the opportunity to be selected to assist Orange County in the administration of its HOME program. UDV specializes in planning consulting services for housing, community and economic development projects, redevelopment projects, rehabilitation programs, urban studies, and architectural services. Haglund, President $160/hour ■ Karl M. Haglund, Vice President $140/hour ■ David A. Jordan, Senior Planner $120/hour ■ Jon G. Haglund, Senior Planner $110/hour ■ Keith S. Portugal, Planner 1 $ 90/hour ■ Brandon T. Wilson, Planner 1 $ 90/hour In addition, there will be an expense charged for trips to Orange County, if requested. These charges will include: travel time, airfare, lodging, and rental car fees. UDV would submit with its invoices the documentation for these costs. UDV Staff will assist the Orange County staff as needed, to include the tasks assigned by the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development, with a not to exceed amount of $8,000. UDV will bill the County on a monthly basis. The monthly invoice will detail the name of the UDV staff, hours worked, tasks completed, the amount billed, and the balance remaining on this contract.
