If no, did you share this with the administrative staff? no yes Several residents complained of excessive delay in answering call bells and one of being wet several hours before anyone assisted him. No Resident and relative expressed concerns of not being asked preference. They were not asked if they want to attend activities the day they occurred or if they needed assistance to participate. 16. Is there evidence of community involvement from other civic, volunteer or religious groups? yes The local Hot Rod association was having a car show in parking lot. They also bring fruit, socks and underwear at Christmas Holiday. 20. Does the facility have a Resident’s Council? Negative attitude of many staff members expressed by residents and relatives. Delay in answering call bells-one resident reported being wet several hours before being helped. Lack of assistance getting in and out of bed. Daily activity calendar in very small print. A family member indicated no one comes to ask about or assists in attending activities. Discuss items from “Areas of Concern” Section as well as any changes observed during the visit Interim Nursing Administrator was very receptive to concerns expressed. She has had experience as a CNA before becoming a nurse. She was aware of “attitude issues” and said she has been working with staff individually and as a group to address this. She also is working on call bell response. She indicated she was aware of activity concerns and was working to make changes . This Document is PUBLIC RECORD.
