PURPOSE: To consider three changes in the County Commissioners' regular meeting
calendar for year 2001.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
the Regular Meeting Schedule.
? A meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Southern Human Services Center meeting room
"D" will precede the meeting scheduled for February 20, 2001. The purpose of this
meeting will be to meet with the Orange County legislators, the Adult Care Home
Community Advisory Committee and the Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee
to talk about issues in those two areas.
? A meeting has been scheduled for March 20 at 5:30 p.m. with the Hillsborough Town
Board to talk about joint planning and other items of mutual concern. This meeting will
be held in the Government Services Center meeting room and will precede the Board's
regular meeting that evening.
? A meeting has been scheduled for April 16 at 5:30 in the Government Services Center in
Hillsborough for the purpose of meeting jointly with members of the Orange County
Health Board. This meeting will precede the Board's regular meeting that evening.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE
RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend their regular
meeting calendar by adding the above three meetings to their meeting calendar.
